A standard residential inspection takes 45–90 minutes depending on property size. Properties selected for thermal imaging scans may take up to 2 hours. Our technician will confirm the expected duration when scheduling your appointment.
All GuardPest chemical treatments are selected from EPA SaferChoice-certified products and applied in compliance with label directions, which specify re-entry intervals for people and pets. In most residential applications, treated areas are safe to re-enter within 2–4 hours. Your technician will provide specific re-entry guidance for every product used. Results and safety profiles may vary based on individual health conditions — consult your physician if you have specific concerns.
Emergency response times depend on location and technician availability. In our primary service markets (Austin, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Orlando, Atlanta), we typically achieve same-day response for requests received before 2:00 PM. Total Fortress plan clients are guaranteed a 4-hour response window. Please call our main line directly for the fastest emergency dispatch.
For most standard treatments — perimeter applications, targeted baiting, and exclusion work — you do not need to vacate your home. Certain treatments (thermal heat treatment for bed bugs, whole-structure fumigation) do require temporary evacuation. Your technician will advise you in advance and provide written instructions for any situation requiring you to leave.
If the pest issue we treated returns within the guarantee period (30 days for one-time treatments, the full service term for recurring plans), we return and re-treat at no additional charge. If after re-treatment the issue persists, we will review the situation and provide additional remediation options. Results may vary based on property conditions, severity of infestation, and client cooperation with exclusion recommendations. Please refer to your service agreement for full guarantee terms.
Essential and GuardPest Shield plans can be cancelled with 30-days written notice at any time. Total Fortress plan clients on an annual contract may cancel with 60-days notice; early termination fees may apply as specified in your service agreement. We encourage clients to contact us before cancelling — in many cases, we can address service concerns directly.
